I recently installed the meziere electric water pump... driving down the expressway last night the fuse blew. I looked down and my analog temp gauge has been having fits anyways, and it said way past 260. The digital gauge said 235 when I shut it off. I hope nothing messed up on me. I just did a topend package with all new perfect circle seals and new guides. I am hoping all is good. Any opinions?
Were the fans on-at either temp they should be on. Was it boiling over?
And the first thing I'd is check the engine oil.Find out why I blew the fuse.Fix the analog, then I'd keep an eye on things. Guys have reported hitting those temps before without any after affects-but for how long? I hit 250 once after I first got my 87-no after affects and fixed my problems areas.Good Luck
It did boil over, and I did shut it off. It started boiling over just as soon as I shut it down. I started it up this morning and no smoke so hopefully all is good. I am going right now to check oil. Thanks for the quick replies.
As stated in my original post the electric water pump blew the fuse. How I don't know, this is what caused the overheating. Pulled over stuck the ac fuse in the water pump and headed home. I just want to make sure nothing is damaged from the heat. Surely I would know by now if something was.
