I just purchased a Yukon brand R&P set for my 95 A4 in the 3.54 Thick ratio and noticed the label on the box stating "noisy".I thought only Richmond gears had this issue. Is anyone out there using this gear and are you having noise problems?

I put a set in a 2002 ss camaro last summer. Set them up within 1/2 of a thousanth, perfect backlash, and got a beautiful pattern after running them thru the marking compound.Man were they noisy. Just as noisy as a typical set of Richmonds.
I put a set in my buddys 96 Colector Edition, Dana 36. No noise except a very, very slight one for coast. (bareley hear) I just put a set in my 96 to replace to noisey Richmonds. Haven't driven it yet since it's still apart.

Rich, we had the same coast noise. Drive side of the gear was perfect but coast side was high. We e-mailed a photo (of the pattern)to Yukon and they said normal. The only way we could have fixed the coast was to throw the drive side way off. They held up well in a high 11 sec camaro. I would not be afraid to use a set myself.
