I was in the process of installing a shift kit in my 4L60 when I broke the electrical clip off one of the pressure solenoids.
I can't seem to find this part anywhere on the net. I don't even know what it is!! All I could find out is that it is the pressure solenoid that is right beside the TCC solenoid, located on the passenger front side of the valve body.
Does anyone know where I can buy this part and what exactly I have broken? I have tried entering in the part number on the back of the solenoid at GMPartsdirect with no luck. They must've changed the part number since 92'. Man this is frustrating!!
A complete valve body diagram with a parts list would really help me out here.
I am confused. I first thought you had a 4l60e when I read your post. Then I checked your profile and saw it is a 92. Looks like I was wrong. Which clip do you need. There is only a few on a non electronic trans. If it is part of the solenoid wiring harness, you have 2 choices. New harness from GM, or splice in a used connector. I may have a used one for you if you need it.
Its a 4L60, a year or two before the 4L60E. So its basically a 700R4 from what I have read.
I am don't need the actually wiring harness. I need the pressure solenoid that the wiring harness connects to at the front passenger side location on the throttle body. I broke the clip off the solenoid that the harness clips to.
Here is a couple of pics of what I am looking for.
It has a pressure range on the back, 207-380kp. It also has the part number 25036207 but I can't find any info on this. I think they must have issued a new number for this part. If I knew what this part actually is, then maybe I could find a place to order it.
I got you now. I do not have a used connector to fit that pressure switch. It was used in the later years of the 4l60, and is not too common. (compared to the older style switch). I know you do not need a harness, but that is the only way I am aware that you can get a new connector. I have never seen them for sale any other way. If the switch is a normally open switch with a 1/8 inch npt thread(and it should be) You can screw in an old style switch and splice a common connector end on your wire and solve the problem that way. I have some old style ends only. Let me know if I can help, Pete
