1995 Corvette, won't start after sitting...help!
I've finally retrieved my 95 Corvette from the body shop. In short, the shop screwed me over bad...they not only didn't finish the repairs that were paid for...but it's been over 3 years trying to get it done.
I finally realized that they were never going to get around to finishing it, and I went and got it. I had to trailer it home, and couldn't even get it to start (it ran and drove fine when I took it there).
I just got a new battery for it...but nothing happens when I turn the key. I MEAN NOTHING. NO DASH LIGHTS, NO ENGINE Clicks, nothing.
I'd like to get it running, but dont' know the best place to start. If I can't figure it out soon, I suppose I'll take it somewhere to diagnose, but $$ is short right now as my wife and I just had our first baby 2 weeks ago, so I thought I'd give it a go myself...
SO, does anyone have any ideas on what's causing this thing to not start?
Thanks in Advance!
Josh
To start it sounds like you have no battery power anywhere.
Does the horn blow?
dows the headlights work?
Does anything at all recieve power and work?
The answers to these questions will help in narrowing down what circuits are off ( all or some?)
If they are all off the problem is probable a bad battery to engine or engine to chassis ground short.
If these grounds are good and clean then the broblen is on the positive side, (at positive junction block or the battery post.)
If some circuits are good, the problem is a burnt out fuse (dont forget those under the dash on the bassenger side)
or a burnt out fusable link (look behind the battery for the junction bloch and check all fusable links to this block )
or one of the many body wiring grounds to the chassis.
Just answer the 3 questions above and we can decide quickly which direction we need to go with this problen.

PS sorry I see the year is 1995
