Default Torx key for FPR?

Does anyone know where I can get one of these to take the FPR off? Or is there a different tool I can use? I ordered a gasket set AND a torx bit from TPIS but it was not in the box. I called and they said it's not on the invoice. So I asked if I'd have to pay shipping to order it AGAIN, and was told "well yeah". I hate order screw ups! I got a TPIS intake used and want to put it on the car. I do have a new Holly AFPR I could put on the big mouth base but then I'd need new screws since I didn't remove the ones from the stock FPR. I get working and don't want to run to the store!

did you try your local parts store. I bought my from sears. There pretty common. Unless your torx bolt has a pin in the center.

all the afpr's i've seen has the tamper proof, with the pin in the center, torx screws. when you get one, make sure it is a tamper proof torx.

Yes, the torx bolt has the pin in the center and you can buy from any local auto parts store

Yes, with the pin in the center. I have a torx set but it won't fit that pin. I will try the local NAPA. Thanks!

I bought mine from sears....They sell a tamper proof fastner remover kit, it has the torx with the pin the middle bit. It was fairly cheap. Good Luck

You can get a set of tamper-proof torx (the ones with the hole in the middle for the little pin) at Sears. The set is made (in USA) by Lisle. It should be near the top of the automotive display area. I think it cost about $30 for the set, but you will have everything up to T50 or T55.

Sears also sells a security bit set. It comes with a bit driver handle and has some of the smaller tamper-proof torx bits, as well as a bunch of other odd-ball security bits. I think that the set sells for about $20.
