Default opnions

Been looking into putting some upgrades in my L98 1989

I have seen you guys speak about roller rockers and how it helps HP wise and engine performance. Also i have seen you guys say that chips are a waste of money and to save up for headers, other bolt-ons.... ect.

my L-98 is not on top like your rides, but i want it to a point where it starts to get slingshotwhen you slam the pedal down. So i need some opnions on what you guys think on these products and how it will work with my mods/ application.

MODS:
Bored out TB
Bored out intake manifold all the way to the induction to the block.
160 temp stat
Bosch platnuim (reg's not +2 or +4)
K'N intake in stock housingwith slits
Straight pipes all the way/ no ctbacks or mufflers

Yes its loud but not annoying loud but it sounds dragster kinda my style. Maybe in time i will slap some headers hooker 2149s. But i would like to get engine first then move to exhaust components.

Back to the goodies...thinking about getting the holand sharp ...alumi roller rockers. Opnions

Also one of my family members slaped a chip on his stock porsche (intake filter only) and it made huge improvement. Thinking of putting a chip on my badboy too.

opnions on motorvision, hypertech,jet chips

I was thinking about going stage 2 where you need a cooler motor to run it or do they give you more problems then its worth? Do you think its worht gettign stage 2 with my motor mods?

Yes again more opnions.

I may sound like a fool but i have seen some of your advice and you guys seem to know your stuff on these products.

-TB waste of money
-Intake work will definiteyl help
-Some debate cooler stats, personally I use the 160s in all my cars (mild winters here)Cooler it is, the more power it will make. I have dynoed proof of that.
-Delco or Autolite plugs are fine, no gain from the fancy ones
-Better to cut the stock lid open, paper or K&N element a personal choice.
I would use some type of mufflers, SBC need a little backpressure to work optimally.
Pipes (dual 2.5")with H or X crossover

generic chips are a waste of money, only do a chip for a cam change or are if you are done with mods totally, and then you must do a custom chip. I do not believe you have done enough to warrant one.

I would go with CompCams 1.6RR.

My website has further information.
