I got mine off ebay for like $200, it was off a later model but it's a nicer display than the 84 anyway

The Corvette specialty catalogs offer rebuild services, but I can't recall the price. I'm thinking $250ish?
I'm not sure I'd be crazy about going thru Ebay (unless there's a guarantee).

Fixing DIgital Dash on '84
Joe,
What is your display doing? Mine would go out and if I pushed on the top right, it would come back on. It ended up being a short in the soldering.
I fixed it myself, with some advise, and have a write up on what I did if you want it. If your's is totally dead and not displaying at all, it is probably more than a short.
Let me know what the symptoms are.

I just have a bunch of segments out, so many numbers are difficult to interpret like can't tell a 1 from a 7 in the temp. I did find a link on repair, and I'm quite capable with electronics, so I'll report back after I've given it a go. Maybe this weekend?!

Joe, did you ever fix your dash? I have a few segments out in the LCD and before I spend $100s on a rebuild, I'd like to see if it's possible to fix it myself.

Dash rebuild
I just took mine apart yesterday,and it's not too difficult! I didn't find anything,was looking for a bad connection or ground. I just cleaned everything,and I'm going to replace the "4" 882 blubs,@ 9.95 each,plus new sockets for all of the bulbs [7 bulbs].The remaining [3] bulbs are just standard ,2 are turn signal,1 is h/l beam. Heat damage[brown spots] seems to be the only thing I see,I'll let you know.........CC wants $395 exchange,plus parts.........They have a new digital assembly for $895,and $200 extra for cruise,but I don't need any more electronic gismos I don't understand!........
