Default need some TPI help

okay so i bought some straight pipes for the vette. no cats, no mufflers. it seemed to running right the first few days then i noticed when i'm at a stop light the idle fluctuates but will eventually return to normal (this happens everytime you come to a stop. i've got the little black emissions box capped off where the hose went that lead to the center cat. can anybody explain this.

by the way the car has a mild cam with egr block off and is an automatic

Have you checked the TPS and IAC?

That's what I would do first.
Incase you don't know how.

You need to unplug the EST connector after you disconnect the IAC one. The tech tip leaves that out.

"You need to unplug the EST connector "
Only need to unplug EST to set dist timing not IAC.

From the GM Shop Manual on how to adjust the IAC and TPS.

That would be the EST connector.

Interesting... I'll have to reset everything sometime with that detail in mind. I've had a small issue w/ idle fluctuation for years but there is one symptom that has baffled me.

It only does it while the car is moving & either clutch in or coasting in neutral. As soon as I come to a stop the idle drops to where it should be & stays there.
