Default HOT Mufflers from CC

Corvette Central has H.O.T. Mufflers (High Output Turbo mufflers w/LT1 Tips) for sale for $179.00 a pair.

Anyone have any experiance with these?

I'd like to keep the look of the stock tips but want a deeper sound.

As you must know - any muffler of your choice can have the stock LT1 tips welded to them.

Yep, I know that, but I was more concerned about how they sounded.
And since they come with the tips, I can just put the mufflers on when they arrive.

I went ahead and took a look at what you were talking about. The reason I made my previous comment was b/c I didn't think there was any reason to buy such a cheap system when you could spend even less on better known Flowmasters and have your tips welded on. I got my flowmasters shipped for 147 off ebay ( 2 Super 40s). Even the quiter flowmasters have a larger case (and probably better design despite it being Flowmaster) than these H.O.T things. The larger case certainly helps give the "deeper" tone you seem to be looking for. Not that I am saying your only choice is flowmaster - it was just an example (but a recommended route if you cant justify spending much more on an exhaust system you havent heard in person). Of course Flowmaster carries a bunch of different styles and sounds... Personally I like it loud and havent researched their quieter options. - - - here are some pics of the ones I am getting with stock tips on them...look nice to me scroll down to GS#xxx's post

I will be honest... there are so many junk products in these catalogs (Ecklers, MAD, CC, et.al.) that I don't even bother anymore.

Not to mention way over priced. I was looking trough I think it was Mad and saw they sell the R-D camber brace for $400.
