Engine rotation CW or CCW?

Engine rotation CW or CCW?
Looking at the front of the engine I think it turns counter clockwise. After a new rack install, I'm trying to bleed air without running the engine. I would like to rotate my PS pump with the belt off and want to make sure I turn it the right way.

The engine turns clockwise but on my car the power steering pump turns counter-clockwise. My motor is an L98. I think the LT1's turn clockwise.
I think he is talking about what direction the power steering pump turns since he wants to bleed air out of the system without starting the car.

After getting the belt back on, I see that your right...the PS pump runs CCW. I used a small belt to turn the pump with a drill. I'm sure it was turning slower than it would with the engine at idle, but I did not want to start the engine. I hope it didn't hurt it to run backwards. I might try again tomorrow running it the other way, or I might just wait until I get done with a brake project and pull the car out of the garage and bleed it right.
