On my 92 the rockers are all body colored.A friend of mine has a 1990 and the lip that hangs down on the rockers is black.What is correct. :confused:

 

The Black on the lip is more than likely exposed fiberglass. Between rock chips and other assorted flying debris the lip often gets sandblasted.

Vettes: I went to Raceway Park for Vette Day and entered my car in the show. Parked right next to me was a coup, same year and colors, mines a convertible. Pretty cool! So we were comparing tho two. His rocker panels were all white while mine have a black lip. Also noticed that ZR1 rockers were concave and the same color. Go figure!

 

Mine have the dark lip.

 

same color here... on rocker and lip and mine is original paint......no dark lip on mine... :cheers: :seeya

 

Mine was a black lip before my car was painted.

Just an observation, From what I am seeing the the new body style 91 up has a body color painted lip while the earlier L98 have a black lip. So I would guess your both right.
