Default tpi help please!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

My buddy has 1988 iroc z 350 with tpi and wants 350+ horses the motor is stock with 125000 miles one of our frineds said new cam and supercharge as is. i said new throtle body 52-58mm new jets and cam looking for some serious help. the supercharger would you not have to change out internals on lower half of motor? I am old school I say good fondation means good power on top! please he needs help from others not just me what can he do for power looking to spend 1800-2500$ wants to rebuild help!!!!!!!!!!! and needs another perosn to tell him it is unrealistic. i explained to him i would put one hell of a rubuild on the motor update suspension and brakes if anything left maybe a little bumpy on the cam and that would blow his budget to hell

There's no way you should slap a supercharger on an engine with that many miles on it. It should be rebuilt first along with forged pistons at a minimum.

I think his budget is unrealistic. I am not sure of the HP rating of a 1988 IROC, but for 350HP, he must add probably close to 100HP. There are lots of things he can to that will produce that increase, but it is pricey. Maybe his best bet is to push his budget up to $4,000 and slip a ZZ4 under the TPI. Even then the ZZ4 is rated at 355 but with headers and a carb. But he would also have a new engine as well as the HP capacity. His TPI will be a major limitation in reaching 350. What the heck, its only money

you got to juice this thing, that's the only way to get the power that he wants and with the budget that he has. How long your motor takes to blow up is any body's guess but with 125000 miles, spraying this motor will give you a pretty short life span. And you guys being young guns and rookies, I know your not going to stay with the 75 horse jets.
