Well, I went through with the head gasket change, just finished.. fired her up, and luckily, there was none of that thick white smoke coming out of the exhaust, and the rough idling I was having was gone.. however, my starting troubles did not cease. When the engine is cold, or hasnt been run for anything more then 2-3 minutes, it will just turn and turn and turn, unless I give it some gas.. then it turns 5-6 times, and fires up. What could this be?? I have a brand new battery in the car, so I know it cant be that, the head gakset, and all other upper half of the engine gaskets have been changed out, so its not a leak.. Does this sound like a problem with a starter??? Thanks!
any car w/ fuel injection should start asap , 2-3 revs should be all ..... i don't belive your car has a cold start injector .... did you look at your intake ( ambient) air sensor ??
If the starter is cranking the engine and it isn't obviously slow , then you do not have a problem with the starter motor. Check the fuel pressure on the rails when you are cranking. If it is low, then you might have leaky injectors which drain fuel pressure during cranking. The fuel pump only runs 2 seconds when you begin to crank and comes back on when the oil pressure rises and turns on the fuel pump. Try jumping the oil pressure switch and see if it starts faster. Jumping the oil pres sw forces the fuel pump on which will provide fuel to the injectors continuously. If it is still hard to start, then check the timing when cranking. If too far advanced, it will be hard to start.
Thanks for all the suggestions. I would definatly like to try jumping the Oil pump switch, but am not sure how... Also, if it does turn out that I have a leaky injector, is there a way to determine which injector, and only replace that one?? Or do I have to go ahead and replace them all? What type of injectors should I go about getting?

I posted this elsewhere, but I will update you guys as well. It turned out to be my fuel pressure regulator. I pulled the vaccum hose off it, and fuel started spraying out, so I swapped in one of those adjustable deals, and now she runs like a champ!
