It's in!
My S/T Frame Support from R-D Racing that is. Not hard at all due to an excellent product with good instructions. It's more of a PITA to get the back part of the interior out than it is to fit the roll bar. Even that's not bad if you've done it before. All that's really necessary is to remove the rear carpeting and insulation, the seats and the top. Locate the holes with the provided templates and cut them out. The front locates onto an integral bulkhead, no cutting necessary there. It's bolted in for now, tomorrow I'll drive it around and decide if I want to go ahead and weld it in. Then I'll seal up the holes permanently and be done with it. Welded in it becomes SCCA legal as a roll bar. This thing is
Dave, your stuff rocks!

My seat was all the way back before and it still is. Reclining much is out of the question but then these cars don't recline much anyway. If I were still a teenager, there'd only be one kind of sex that I could have in this car. Wait, that's not really sex, I almost forgot!

It's not too bad. Vision up near the roofline is a little restricted but as far as actually seeing what's behind you on the road, not a problem for me. I'm 5'10 1/2" tall. If someone's behind you at a stop light, you won't be able to see their face. If a fella wanted to mount the mirror a little lower, that would help I think. I was fortunate because a friend put one in his '85 so I was able to see what it was like before getting one. I did have Dave make a slight adjustment to the diagonal bar to help in this too. I simply had him to relocate it's upper mounting point probably 3" further to the left to just below where the left rearward leg attaches. I think that was a good move.

I'm really looking forward to meeting Dave one of these days. I've talked to him on the phone quite a few times and have always enjoyed doing so. I'll be talking to him again in the next few days re/ some tips he's offered on something else I'm doing. Not only does he create great products with quality and pride in workmanship as his first concern, but he strikes me as the kind of guy who raises the curve as to what Corvette brethren should be.

Yes it does. If you are over 6'1 or '2 tall it is definitly going to change your driving position. Also the older 90-93 style seats with the hard plastic backs are effected much worse by the bars than the 94-96 seats.
