Default Porting 84 crossfire?????????

How do you go about porting an intake manifold on a 84 vette?
Is there certain steps to go by?
When removing the lower part of manifold can you leave the top plate with everything attached(injectors, etc) sitting there and slide the lower part out? I don't want to have to take everything off the top. Afraid I might screw things up.

As Stefan pointed out go check out the Crossfire Forum. Lots of good info and assistance.

You will not screw anything up by removing the TBs from the top plate. It would be a good idea go get some gaskets and O rings and rebuild the tbs anyway. There really is not much there in the way of parts. No springs to worry about etc. The only item is rebalancing the TBs and you can find instructions on how to do that at the Crossfire Forum. It is not all that difficult.

There is no need to remove everything, or even anything, from the "top plate" (lid). You may have trouble trying to "slide the lower part out", without unbolting it first. The lid needs to be removed to get access to most of the manifold bolts.
