Muffler elims. have been around for a while. Don't buy the kits, all it is is a pipe in place of the muffler. A local shop would probably do it for $50-100. Mine did it for $60 and welded the original LT tips back on. You can find other tips if you don't want to go bck with the LT tips.
I really like they way it make it sounds, louder but can still talk in the car and hear the radio, makes a Vette soiund like a Vette.
I have them and they sound great, they were a christmas present from my girlfriend along with rear y-pipe and random cat. I circled them in the catalog.
I currently have elim's and LT1 tips on my 85, and I like the way they sound. Rest of exhaust is stock. You will need to keep your cat or it will be too loud and resonate in the car.
I am in the process of putting on L/T headers so I will be putting mufflers back on to keep the noise level bearable.
well i just did it today and they sound pretty good, not too loud and not too quiet, they shop i took it to charged 70 bucks so it was a pretty good price, thank you all for your comments.
