Default Questions for 1985 project

Hi All, This is my first post. I have been reading the forum for about 6 months and I am really impressed with the amount of information that is available. I am in the middle of a restore project and have a couple of questions I need help with. I have used the search tool to try to answer my questions first so please bear with me if they have already been answered.
1. I bought a rear sway bar bushing kit but the new bushings would not go in the metal sleaves is this correct.
2. Can somebody please tell me where I can get bat wing bushings. The kit I bought has 2 bushings with the proper bolt size but are way to small for the Bat wing holes. I read that I will have to punch the sleeves when I get the new bushings.
3. I am changing the inner tie rods on the front end and when I removed the dust cover on the rack and pinion the passenger side ring shock dampener (according to the service manual) was toast. is there a place I can get another one or can I do without it. Thank you for all your help.

I have an extra set of the batwing bushings that came with my hypertech suspension polyurethane kit that I would be happy to sell.

1. Remove the sleeves and don't use them.

2. Goto suspension.com to find part numbers on those, then order from summit.

3. Not sure what you're talking about... Is it a bushing?

Thanks for the reply.
I bought the rear end bushing kit from VBP I guess I will call them and see if there was a mistake, If not Richard I will take you up on your offer.

The ring shock dampener looks to be a metal sleeve you slide out of the way to change the inner tie rod. the one on the drivers side is fine the on on the passenger side is made of plastic and looked to be split to put it on. It does not appear that anyone was inside the dust boot before everything looked factory.
