Default select ride shocks
Can select ride shocks be changed to regular without getting an error code?

should be able to. Just tie the modules off and be done with it.

To avoid the error codes and lights just unplug the controller....

Should be located under one of the the cargo area storage bins....You have to lift the bin out to access it, the controller is mounted on the side wall, next to the ABS pump...On my 1990 it is under the drivers side bin, but I think on later years it was moved to the pass. side...

Did you get the error code? It might be better to get all the facts before you make a decision to disable the system entirely.
