wanting to install louvers---
Ecklers (functional) $299
Greenwood $495
big question---
1. can you drive in the rain?
2. can you wash the car with garden hose ?
thanks for your reply
Yes and Yes, if your plug wires are good. I wash my engine every time I wash the car, I use the leftover soapy water, as did the previous owner of my car(and he is a tech of 34 years, so if he says its OK, I buy it) never had any problems.
For a minute I thought you meant rear window louvers, yes I grew up in the 80's and was thinking.............did he say louvers........on a Vette
Those look really nice. I've been wanting to do that myself to get rid of some underhood heat but have been reluctant because it just rains and rains here so much and mine is a dd.
Here's perhaps a stupid question.... if your driving in the rain is it possible to get an oily coating of water coming out of the louvers onto the windshield?

My vette is a toy -- never sees the rain (unless it peeks from under the cover) I also Gunk the engine every 3rd. wash and no oil leaks I can see. On the "84" there mounted 1/2 over the wheel houses. I do see heat waves comeing out of them , at idle when the fan is on quite a bit of heat comes out. I also feel theres less lift at speed.
