TPiSpecialties long tubes for me where the olnly way to go. Really well made and by far the easiest of all to install. But they aren't cheap, although their 850 price includes ceramic coating and a 3" Y-pipe, it's still a big investment. But you get what you pay for.

I paid around $550 for Hooker 2151's at Summit.

Hedman Elites run even less.

I wouldn't recommend anyone buy a "100-200 dollars" set of headers for anything. But Hedman makes a set that will fit for about $135.00, if that is what you want.

RACE ON!!!

Hey, be happy you don't have an LS1. I'm jumping for joy at the price of LT1 parts!

TPIS was $750 (catalog price) for ceramic coated long tubes for my 1988 a month or two ago. I am very happy with them. WTF, its only money!

I never buy anything from Ecklers or MAD anymore, too much markup.

Most replacement parts I get from The Last Detail, then Summit for performance stuff.

I just bought a set of Hooker 2151 painted headers for my 94 LT1 last week. The only installation problem was that each side touched the motor mount bolt. After grinding off the ¼" or so of bolt that protruded past the mount, the headers installed just fine. The other item I will have to modify is the passenger side header does not have an O2 sensor bung. I bought one from a local speed shop, and will weld it to the header this evening. The rest of my exhaust, from the resonator and back, will remain stock for a while.

Hope to have it back on the ground with the new Centerforce, ZF 6-speed, Kumho 712s, and front brakes by this weekend.

If I could swing the $$, these would be the ones... But then my 383 would take advantage of these...........
