why is it when i wanted long tube headers for my C3 they were 100-200 dollars, but for this 94 C4 they are $800??? where is a good place to get headers cheaper? ecklers and madvet don't seem to be the solution to any part needs... HELP ME!!!!
TPiSpecialties long tubes for me where the olnly way to go. Really well made and by far the easiest of all to install. But they aren't cheap, although their 850 price includes ceramic coating and a 3" Y-pipe, it's still a big investment. But you get what you pay for.

I wouldn't recommend anyone buy a "100-200 dollars" set of headers for anything. But Hedman makes a set that will fit for about $135.00, if that is what you want.
no, i was just kind of complaining because it seems like EVERYTHING for this LT1 is three times the price of the parts that i could buy for my C3. i know i get what i pay for, just trying to find a place to look besides ecklers and madvet.... thanks for the replies!

Hey, be happy you don't have an LS1. I'm jumping for joy at the price of LT1 parts!
I just bought a set of Hooker 2151 painted headers for my 94 LT1 last week. The only installation problem was that each side touched the motor mount bolt. After grinding off the ¼" or so of bolt that protruded past the mount, the headers installed just fine. The other item I will have to modify is the passenger side header does not have an O2 sensor bung. I bought one from a local speed shop, and will weld it to the header this evening. The rest of my exhaust, from the resonator and back, will remain stock for a while.
Hope to have it back on the ground with the new Centerforce, ZF 6-speed, Kumho 712s, and front brakes by this weekend.
