Just received Eclers 1" rear bar (37134), couple of comments for those who consider one:
The catalogue ad says it is adjustable so I can choose how tight it is.
1. Ecklers state it is 26mm, well 1" is only 25.4mm
2. it is NOT adjustable!!! (the catalogue ad text is not true)
3. they say it comes with urethane bushings, okey the center bracket bushings are urethane but end link bushings are stock GM rubber (VB front bar came with all 4 urethane)
4. they say it comes with all necessary hardware, no urethane grease included though
5. they say instructions included, hmmm... the paper basicly says: take the old one off and install the new one, don't allow the suspension hang when tightening the bolts. Nothing mentioned about the need to remove spare tire carrier of which way to install end link bushings etc...
Not very happy with this. There is no point in returning it as the shipping was more than the bar itself. Will try it anyway and see if it is any good.
Oh yeah, they also sell 1 1/8" front bar. They say it is 32mm but my math say 1 1/8" is only about 28.6mm.
And one more thing I also bought the 88-95 Radio Wire Harness & Connector (29387), I guess my '91 is somewhat weird as it totally does not fit my car!
Thanks Ecklers, nice job. It must be very nice to ship wrong stuff around the globe in my expense ($126 freight).

Ps. lets see if they are willing to compensate this in any way...
On the radio harness, it may be that it is made to plug into the remote tuner unit in the dash on the passenger side. I recently changed mine out and was :mad when I pulled the display unit out and saw connectors that looked nothing like mine. Email me if you want more details. The 90-94 GM harness does work, you just have to tear apart the dash to get to the component it plugs into.
Hmmm...you can be right - I don't know. Ihaven't looked into the place you described. My logic was saying that if I wan't to change the original cassette-radio to modern system I need this harness to make it easier. The harness comes with maybe 4" cables. I would think its odd if it is ment to be connected to a unit further away under the dash as I then need to extend all those 20 or so cables to reach the new stereo??? The harness has cables for power, speakers etc. and all of those are in the original harness behind the cassette-radio, it would be logical that the kit would connect there, wouldn't it?
Do you have the Bose system? If so, I have done some research and found that you cannot just replace the head unit or the speakers with modern equipment. All of the Bose stuff run off of each other. You will have to redo the whole system wiring and all. :jester
I have posted the complaint and a request for ASAP correction.
They might have sent me the correct bar but with incorrect endlink mounting hardware (it looks exactly the same as adjustable Addco bar in CC catalogue). So, all adjustable stuff is missing. The low quality instruction sheet lists 8 pieces of hw but I received only 6, center brackets and ureth. bushings + endlink rubber bushings.
The sheet describes installation of OEM replacement FRONT bar though, so I can't be sure.
I received a e-mail from Ecklers cust. service today.
Thay say their catalogue is wrong and they do not have adjustable bars for C4's at all. They do not suggest any compensation but ask what I want to do with the situation.
Any ideas, what would be reasonable and fair compensation I could ask? I ordered the bar only because I thought it was adjustable. The wrong info has been in the catalogue for ages.
