Where is the engine suffix located? Just trying to identify all my RPO codes and ID numbers for future referance. 1990 L-98.

the engine codes are on the block, right side, forward of the head. If I am right, they are blocked by the AC compressor. It's a pad that is on the same plane as the deck surface.

It's part of the stamped ID number on the block.

Define, "engine suffix". What are you looking for? The RPO code for the L98 engine, is... L98. Amazing coincidence, Huh?

That code indicates a lot more than just the engine. There would be a lot of those codes applicable to the L98 engine.
