The search and the FAQ must both be broken, again. YES! You will likely have to enlarge (drill out) the holes for the camber adjustment bracket.

RACE ON!!!

If you can, get the manual driveshaft. Then change your auto yoke over to it. The reason is, the manual driveshaft is about 1 in shorter and the dana 44 is about 1 in longer.

Thanks for the info, but not the attitude. FYI I did do a search, to no avail, else why would I ask in the frist place, know what I mean?

Rich K

I am not even sure about the FAQ having the exact info he wanted. I sure don't remember adding it.

The only real difference between the early D44 and the late D44 (most 87 and all 88-up) is the diff case itself. The earlier cases (85-86 and some 87) are a thicker and heavier casting. They weigh right at 4 lbs more and can be be differentiated by the casting ridge at the top. The early cases have a wide ridge where the later ones have a narrow ridge.

I've seen the camber adjustment bracket on them both small and large so it seems to be hit or miss there.

Can anyone help me as far as which early year C4's had Dana 44's in them? Didn't all the 4 + 3 equiped cars have D44's? Thanks.
