VATS/UTD Module - Help please.
Problem at present with my 86. First indication was I was in the city, parked and went to start - nothing. Would not turn over/just seemed to be dead. Tried a few times, no response, waited about 20 minutes and voila - tried one last time, everything fired up - and away I went. Couple of weeks later - same thing , tried the next day - wiggled the key back & forth, motor turned over but No fire and the fuel pump will not operate. Took plug off pump, it will operate fine under auxilary power. Is there anyway of checking out the above two modules (VATS/UTD-universal theft deterant) to see if either of those are malfunctioning? Need some help here - it's topless weather out! :confused:
