Raising the front suspension

I'd mount them on the front too, if I could conquer the clearance issue. Since I like (and am) using 11" ZR1 chrome sawblades, the wheels protrude slightly.
In the back, it's not a problem. In the front, I suspect diving in turns and large bumps (like speed bumps/curbs) will cause rubbing. Actually, this is more than suspicion cause I tried it. However, it just barely rubs. So raising the car even 1/2" (in the front) would probably cure that problem.
How hard would that be?
It appears that the height is set by the pressure of the front, lateral leaf spring as it presses down on the bottom "A" arm. I don't see how you raise/lower the front without changing the front spring and I'd guess that ain't cheap or fun!

I know that putting shims on top of the spring sounds counterintuitive however, your moving the spring lower/ or raising the cross member, hence lifting the car.
IMO Vettes look better low, good luck.

Also, I understand that changing ALL the wheels to a different offset (and different design since 11" sawblades don't come in 50mm offset) would solve my problem.
P.S. I assume you raise the car and install the shim(s) in the middle of the transverse leaf. I can see that adding to the "bow" would lift the car.
