Got a check MAF sensor, replace MAF relays, inspect intake system for vacuum leaks, clean throttle body. I replaced the MAF relays and cleaned the plug to the MAF sensor. When I start my 89 corvette with 96K miles she runs ruff. Just started. You stepl on the throttle she almost dies. Let her idle, she bucks, no back fires, sounds like a major vacuum leak around the smog pump. After about 30 seconds of this she jumps to a smooth idle and you can drive from SF to NY as long as you don't shut her off. You can go through all 6 gears pedal to the metal, lay some rubber down and she runs like a champ and never misses. Shes fantastic. PUT HER IN THE GARAGE LET HER SIT AN HOUR AND SHE STARTS BUT IDLES LIKE SHE HAS A MAJOR VACUUM LEAK, GIVE HER SOME GAS SHE ALMOST DIE, LET HER IDLE FOR 60 SECONDS SHE SNAPS OUT OF IT AND A WAY YOU GO.
Needs some help here, Have changed, TSP, ISA, rebuilt value body when I got a Code 23 a month or so ago and she just would not idle at all or even run on the street. Put a new Alternator on a week or so ago and it seems like all this started happening.
