`90 carb pics and question
im through with my `90 carb conversion. here are the pics. http://photobucket.com/albums/f333/s...mage&test=test drove it today and it feels real strong way past my previous pedal position. havent got it on the highway yet to air it out though .so far im satisfied with the pedal response as being equal to the super ram i had on it befor. going to tomorrow to dial in the fuel and timing, jees if it gets any better i could be a contender. but i do have a question about the fuel pressure even though iv spent around 3 hundred on just the fuel pressure regulator ( aeromotive ) and related AN fittings and braided line im really not happy with the pressure reading on the guage at the carb fuel line. seems iv set it a couple of times to 5-6 pounds and it wont stay. i jumped the factory fuel pump to the cruise control at the fuse box so it will come on when i turn the iginition on. when it stays at the setting it runs like a scalded dog but if it drops to 3-4 pounds it will struggle under load. i would really hate to blow 3 bills on this set up but what are my other alternatives in this situation? oh yea im now able to set the idle at around 500 to 700 rpm and its smooth and lumpy. ok your right its a smooth lumpy idle. sounds great.
