Thinking about installing the Dynaspark Gen I. What do you guys and gals think of this product?

I think it's the best all-around solution for Gen 1 Opti woes, unless you're gonna rev the engine well past the stock redline, in which case I'd suggest the Delteq.

I have around 18 months and 10k miles on the Gen 1 Dyna in my '94, and it's been great so far. Direct, bolt-on replacement, totally watertight, and very well made.

I just had one installed in my 93. Haven't had a chance to really run it too much yet but my mechanic said it was easy (for an opti) to install.

Thanks for the replies. Called Dynaspark yesterday. They said they are behind and it will be at least a week before they will catch up. I am doing all the work myself and I am concerned about installing the dynaspark unit with it in time with the cam. I have not look close at the cam drive shaft. Does it have a blanked out tooth to facilitate the timing? Any replies are appreciated.

Yes it has a key in the spline just like OEM.I have one in my 93

The instalation is exactly the same as OEM with the exception of running the vacuum venting tubes. The instructions are very clear.
