Gotta be the longest sentence I've seen yet in this forum
there is a section on autocrossing called autocrossing and road racing I think you will find the stuff you need there to find which class you belong in and how to set the car up to run there better than you would stock if you know what I mean.
Did I win?
Please, just because you graduated high school does not mean you can stop using simple punctuation and spelling.

Randy, I have little to offer on auto-x as I have never done it. That being said, Ill tell you what I have heard. 1. for auto-x racing you are much better off with a 6 sp then the automatic. 2. If it is a stock class, then engine mods for power are out, as well as suspension mods. However, you may get away with a rearend gear change. Good luck with your decision and I hope you enjoy your new Vette.

If you are planning to autoX, go with the 6 speed.
If you want to autoX, remain completely stock for the time being and focus on the driver. I guan-damn-tee that the car will do a LOT more than the driver for the first three YEARS of autocrossing.
Stay stock, maybe pick up a set of R-compound tires (Kumho Victoracers are great beginner tires), and learn how to drive.
If the only other person in the stock class is a Camaro SS you have nothing to worry about. If you match his driving skills you will have no problem winning. I raced one of these many times autocrossing and had no problem beating him. He might have been able to take me in a straight line but not in the curves. Those cars just don't turn as good as a Vette.
A simple thing to do is take out some suspension shims in the front before racing. It was improve your corning ability. It aonly take a few minutes. Just put them back in before driving much on the street.

Thanks and good luck.
The more you do to make helping you easier for us...the more help you will receive. Show us some respect: your post tells us "you guys aren't worth my time to put a proper paragraph together."
Now...what do you need to be competitive?
You need to know how to drive.
I'm not being a smart-azz, either. Take all the instructions/schools/ etc. you can. 97% of the cars at an autocross are nowhere near their potential; the driver is the limiting factor.
Money and time devoted to learning to drive in an autocross environment is the best investment you can make...certainly it is when you are just starting out.
i can drive well sort of and the guy nin the camaro usually kills other vettes he is really good
the question about the shocks are because every car i find around were i live has ride control and i want to put real shocks on and wanna know what i should use
Since I'm the kind of person who likes reading in posts in decent American English, I prefer to offer my help to those who, at least, make an effort to use correct grammar and good sentence structure. I think it would a lot easier on our inquiring minds.
