Default Mod Opinions...Bored at work

Barry Grant Nitrous-

Nice package for a good price. The throttle cable relocation brackets needed a little grinding to fit. Overall it comes very complete and a good mod in my opinion for someone looking for cheap power. I had a 75 wet on mine and loved it. On street tires the car was running low to mid 13's with a terrible surface on the track.

SLP Mufflers-

No wonder they are discontinued! At 3,000RPM they make a noise that cannot be described but is very annoying. No more to say about these.

X Pipe-

I love my X pipe. The sound is great! I have the stock manifolds, no cats and replaced my resonator with the X pipe. Can't go wrong with this mod. I dunno about power but I like the sound and look from this. The physics for the X pipe adds up, probably adds power. Enough to tell? No not in my opinion.

Fidanza Alum. SM Flywheel-

Don't want to start anything on this thread so I will keep this short and simple. Yes it makes a lot of noise at idle with the clutch out in N. It revs a lot quicker and the noise goes away once in gear. But yes the daily driver will probably want to stay away from this.

Spec Clutch Stage 3 and 4-

Stage 4- Dont make this mistake! If you plan at all on driving your car on the street dont get the stage 4. Its a rigid puck style disc and makes the car virtually non-streetable. The holding power is great though! Lost some money on this having to reorder the stage 3 disc. Although after calling Spec and explaining to them all my trouble and how I have had my clutch out 6 times, they paid for half the clutch disc.

Yes 6 times

Stage 3-

Go with the stage 3+, its full face and a sprung hub. Acts a lot better on the street and a lot less chattering.

CC306-

Too much duration. Even after the tune by Bryan it is still hard to drive. A lot of chugging and terrible gas mileage. Upstairs the thing pulls like a freight train though!

Electric Water Pump-

Wish I would have never made this mistake. Terrible idea. Forget the 5 horsepower and jet the nitrous a little stouter.

Customer service at Meziere is

In Dash touch screen Kenwood Stereo-

Recommend this to everyone. This unit fits in the C4 so good and has all kinds of options. DVD,MP3,CD-R,CD-RW,WAV You name it and it will play it. And the TV tuner is inexpensive so you can check the weather on your way home from work. Really though I love mine.

Well thats about it. I better get back to doing something! Hope to see some people down in Bowling Green this year!

Here is the nitrous. Like I said easy install good performance mod. Just a little machining on those relocating brackets.

Default I like my SLP's

I actually quite enjoy the sound of my SLP mufflers. Although, I did switch to a Dynomax y-pipe with the crossover bar (and had to custom fabricate a set of hanger brackets to get them to fit)....maybe that's the difference in sound.

well my meziere has caused me a lot of heart ache! the first pump seized up and blew its own fuse a few times and the last time it overheated my car pretty bad. you could hit it with a hammer and get it started and then it would be fine. But thats a lot of work.Ha ha! Then just the overally customer service was terrible. They offered me a t shirt though. You got to give them that much.

Don't get me wrong I like my SLP's but I think I would have liked B&B a little more. Plus they look better. No warranty though through SLP cause they are discontinued.

On a stock CI motor that is exactly what I would suspect for the 306. I have told several Poeple who have asked the same thing on a stock ci motor it is a turd down low but will make great #s up top

the nitrous is triggered by WOT microswitch on the Throttle Body. Really nice kit, Even better customer service!

I have a big speaker box in the back of mine so it fits snug right between the box and the 6x9 in the rear. I dont hide it because you have to purge at the line so there really is no hiding that.

No I havent upgraded mine but I believe by that they mean the coil. You can get an MSD coil pack for the LTx that is direct replacement. And then again they could be talking about pulling a couple degrees of timing out also for anything above 100 shot. I myself pull 2 degrees per 50 horse shot.
