Default Another GM great - Cooling lines

Has anyone changed cooling system hard lines on an lt1 to braided flex? Is there any issues with doing so? to much pressure or creationof pressure? If I am going to spend 100 bucks on cooling lines, they might as well look and perform great. See below picture. I was thinking a few braided flex lines and a ani tee. The only reason I can see for actual hard pipe is that it is close to the engine and they secured it to the side with the cheaply made brackets. Your thoughts?

Braided lines should work just fine. I saw someone on eBay last week selling a braided kit for the LT1s, but I'm not sure exactly what lines were included.

After seeing your avatar I forgot the question

Oh yeah..... I think braided lines would work.
One thing to watch....They are very abrasive and over time will create holes wherever they rub. Secure them real well and keep an eye on them over time.... you should not have any problems

The lines only see typical cooling system pressures so there is no reason why a braided line would not work. Add some red and blue anodized covers with clamps and it should look really trick. You could even have some aluminum clamps made up to fit the stock mounting holes.
