auto o/d
Mine is 95, lt1, automatic. problem is it is not shifting into overdrive. Everything else seems fine, shifts good in every other gear. It has been serviced regularly, but is high mileage.
Is there a possible external cause (sensor or whatever) or am I looking at a trans rebuild?

Engine coolant temp. sensor possibly. Went I had my trans rebuilt the ECT got broken and it wouldn't go into OD. A forum member said that w/o the sensor it won't. Replaced ECT sensor and BINGO I had OD. Just one of many possibilities. Good luck, Robert
