seat dimensions?
Ive been looking at corbeau but they are so expensive and I have compared the difference in quality between the cheap ones and them and I dont see much of a difference.
Replies would be much appreatiated
Flat of the Floorpan is 19" wide from rocker to tunnel. There is a channel that runs along the edge of the rocker panel and floor pan. Pull your carpet back at the floor and you will see what I mean.
From E-brake assembly to tunnel is 20". I don't have the rocker sill trim installed but I doubt that would affect this measurment much.
The studs in the floorpan that the seat mounts to are 14" apart side to side.
Unfortunatley it looks like 22" might be a little tight. Definitley test fit a seat before committing to buy.
Hope this helps, let me know if you need any more measurments. If it would help I can post a pic of my floorpan so you can see exactly where I measured from.

cutting [it] pretty close too, huh?
dimensions change as you rise up from the
floor and forward from the rear bulkhead of the foot/seat well. This,
together with the tendency of seats to become narrower toward the
bottom and the rear increases your dimensional options.
You might try a search over in Autocross & Racing - seats for the
C4 come up in discussion periodically. There will also be posts about
mounts such as those from Corbeau (C4 specific) and others.
Manufacturer's sites often have dimensional drawings like this one from
Kirkey.
And this one from Corbeau

When selecting a seat, keep in mind that you'll need to have
functional seat belts - a fixed-back seat like the Kirkey Int Road-Race
has openings in the sides and is less suitable for use of the OEM belts.
