Ok, I know the SYS is a sign of the battery going out, but when you guys had this, did it blink like twice when you first turned it on, or did it do it all the time. I have watched my dig. display and twice now (within about 20 starts) it has blinked SYS once or twice.
Looks like I may be investing in another battery.. just what I need, more parts! :mad
When my SYS light came on it started okay and the light immediately came on. During a 5 mile drive it was intermittent and eventually stayed on. The battery fixed the problem.
Naw.. if it dies, I'll just have one of my roommates come pick me up and go get a battery. I'm only using it for back and forth to school stuff now that school is going in a week. It's not that big of a deal.
Yep, had the same problem on my LT4. The battery will fix it. It will also blink for a while after a jump start until the battery gets back to full power.
My SYS is still blinking after a battery replacement. I have narrowed it down to the Bose radio deck. Maybe it could be your stereo causing the SYS light to flash. My SYS light flashes all the time by the way :mad .
Nope, not my radio. I have an aftermarket stereo and I did the resistor fix to get rid of it. It's got to be warning me something about the battery. I'm going to keep a close eye on the voltage.
I have the same problem with my 93'. However, the security light blinks twice, then the "sys" blinks twice, and then the "service ASR" light comes on.
Chevy has had the car for two day's and can't figure it out..............yet!?
Any guesses?
Car will not start until the "service ASR" light goes out.
