Default Pick my next mod for me ...

Cant make up my mind on the next mod for the car.....

Here is what is done so far...
Accel Kool Blue, MSD Digi 6+, MSD coil, Hooker headers, 3" rear y w/ custom Flowmasters & no cats, BBK afpr, NOS 150 shot, Accel 10.8 wires, Jet stage I chip, Jet fan switch, 160* stat, Ported plenum, BPP air pump delete, 315 Nitto DR's, Epsilon wheels, 2.59 rear. Walbro 340m still needs to be installed.

Best time 12.57 @ 111.38 mph with a 2.036 60' on Goodyear F1's

No new times since the Nittos's. Im sure it will get down to a 12.00 maybe a high 11.90. 60 foot is killing me.

1- dana 44 with a performance gear and a convertor ...
2- head/cam/sr and or mini ram package...
3- supercharger package...
4- fast, accel gen vii, or something of this nature..

Looking for the most bang for the buck. Wife says only one upgrade this year...LOL.

You have got to get that thing off the line better. Like you noted, your sixty foot is really hurting you. In my opinion the best performance per $ now is the rear axle gearing. If you couple that with a higher stall, you should be able to drop .3 seconds off the sixty foot times.

Yeah the 60's are very weak. That was on the old f1's. I couldnt even come close to spraying off the line. Most runs I wouldnt even spray it untill second. The next weekend I bought the nittos but the track tech told me no more when I showed up. Roll bar is going in here shortly so that wont be a problem. Convertible is fun but the 13.50 rule kind of sucks. With the nittos I can spray it right out of the hole so I know the 60's are better now. Will see when the track opens this year.

You think 4.09's would be to much gear for me?

It all depends on your driving habits and plans for the car. 400 series gears will hurt your fuel mileage, so if you put a lot of miles on the street it will start costing you money. If it is primarily a weekend car this won't be as much a problem. However, you also need to consider what rpm you want to cross the finish line at without going into OD. Look up one of the gear ratio/tire size/rpm/mph calculators online. Do some research before spending the cash.

Next mod? Get a "real" custom chip for it from Alvin at PCM for less. Talk to him about how much "bang" you can expect from one of his chips.

Do the Dana. I went from a 2.73 to a 3.27 in my Mustang. Totally different car when it was done. That was for road racing. RPM went from 1900 to 2550 in fifth while cruising. Gas mileage went down though of course.
For drags I agree with the 3.73.
