Default why am I running better in open loop?

I switched out my 02 sensor and my closed loop correction are now negative numbers. Adjusting cells on the VE table had no real effect. I flipped the switch on my DFI to lock in open loop and man, she ran perfect!!! What have I done wrong here? The 02 voltage pretty much stayed around .88. When I let it idle warm in open loop, the voltage was .2 to .8 and varied highly. What does the lack of volt. movement while driving indicate?? rich/lean?? I am sure running in open loop is a no no but dog gone, it actually ran well for a change

Check your desired AFR table. It is likely calling for AFR's too lean for your engine to run happily.

i ran OL last month of last driving season. car seemed to run better at 13.5-14.0/1 A/F. especially on tip in and when i accellerate lightly at low speeds in city traffic. engine has a few mods. may have been covering other issues doing so(AE)? BLM was 124 accross the board.
