Fuel Filter Secrets
'95 6 speed. What's the secret to getting it off? I can't get a wrench on and turn the top nut.
Do you put the wrench on and turn the filter to loosen and tighten the nut?

first-you may want to remove your gas cap. second, when I change my filter I put a wrench on both filter and gas line-hold the filter and loosen the gas line, it's a tight area alright-but if I can do-you can do!

Put long tube headers on it. Changing the filter then becomes 10X easier.

Loosen the fuel line guides up top on pass side of engine. This gives you some "wiggle room" down below at the filter.

Be careful not to strip the line.

if all else fails you can put vice grips on the filter. you're replacing it anyways. plus use plenty of love juice.

You need a set of line wrenches (flare wrenches) for the fuel lines and a set of stubby wrenches for the fuel filter.

What I did still seems to be the easiest.
