Opti Test
Seems like you can get 100+ miles on an Opti if it has good seals. On the other hand, if the seals leak, it dies the first time it gets wet.
Since I have 6 months warranty left and a beater to drive, I was thinking about testing my Opti by washing the engine a few times.
I am assuming that if I get it good and wet, it will fail very quickly, otherwise it should last a good while.
I would rather spend the Generals money now than mine in the not too distant future.
Does this sound like a plan?

Sounds like a plan to me. But besure it is covered under warranty. I think someone else got stuck with this not being covered.. but it might have been a limited extended warranty.
