I want to replace my stock exhaust system on my 93 6SP. Summitt is selling the Flowmaster Force 2 exhaust system for $580.00 delivered to my home, but i keep hearing about the interior resonance problems that this exhaust system creates with in a C4 vette, are these stories true or are they discussing earlier Flowmaster system? could you recommend the Flowmaster Force 2 and save almost $400 when compared to it's rival exhaust system (coras) price? is it a case that you get what you pay for?
thanks mbbriggs
I would appericate hearing your Flowmaster Force 2 experences.
I've been running the Force 2 on my 86 for a couple of years and love it. Fairly quiet at cruise but sounds awesome when you open it up. No resonance at all.

Well all I can say is that the Force II system is probably the easiest to install, and sounds absolutely retarded at WOT. As for resonance, ya there is a little bit but what aftermarket exhaust doesn't. Oh and you cant beat the price.

I've never really heard of a resonance problem with these. Perhaps someone is confusing these w/ the crappy, ratty Flowmaster 40s. I've heard the Force II system on an LT1 and think it sounds beautiful.
Id be curious to hear these...Had the pricey-azz Delta Flow 50's on the 89 and it resonated. Not as bad as the 40 series, but enough to irritate me if I had someone in the car. Anyone know the CFM rating on those muffs?
I have them on my 92 LT1 . At first around 39 to 41 mph I thought it had a little resonance but now I don't notice it. I still long to hear the exhaust sounds we had with the old porters & smitty systems. Pure music ,not the harsh wailing we now hear. I'm stuck in the 50's.
I have a few quesions for the in-the-know guys....
How restrictive is a 1993 stock C4 exhaust and is it worth it (money/performance/sound ) to install the Flowmaster Force II catback? (I only have 15k miles)
....and finally, what kind of HP gaines will one see by installing the Flow Force II system? I just noticed today the Force II system uses smaller diameter piping (2.5) over the larger 2.75 stock size piping - what's up with this?
For what it's worth, I like the way the stock system looks from the rear of my Corvette, no welds or u brackets, it just look nice an clean but really desire a deeper, more masculine exhaust note.
Thank you
