When I could not get the Digi Dash in my '85 to work, I took it to the local dealership. They sent it out to get fixed. Cost was $200 + parts (needed a power supply)
Have you tried the fixes on this site, and toyed with it a little yourself?

I just sent mine off for repair for the exact same problem. Try this http://www.corvettedashclusterservice.com/
I don't know if it is the best place or not, I haven't gotten mine back. I'm expecting a call any day for my credit card # to pay. I will post again with the results. It sucks driving around without the gauges. I almost forgot about the gas and just got it in time yesterday.
That's Gene Taber, I had a good dealing with Gene-the responses have been mixed.
I typed in his web site 3 times-each time it posted differently than I typed. He has or had a site showing pretty much a repair process the average guy can do.

Got mine back from Gene Taber today. The $185 fee he lists is for diagnostics and labor. I had a bad power supply which he replaced. With shipping, labor, and the power supply, it was about $240. I mailed it to him 2 weeks ago today and got it back today. He seemed like a good guy to deal with. His web site says he has a 2-3 day turn around, but that may be for a swap out type of service. He had mine about a week before he contacted me that he had it repaired. Replaced it tonight and all is well.
Now since you have the same symptoms, could you assume that you have a bad power supply. That looks like a plug and play repair (IF that is the problem). He charged me $50 for the power supply. I'm sure it can be had for less since he has to mark it up to sell. Knowing this, I would consider buying the power supply and sticking it in myself.
Try this site for DIY repair: http://www.batee.com/corvette/dcrg/index.shtml
I had mine repaired by Gene Taber last year and so far it works great. It's kind of funny that at last year's Carlisle show I bought Gordon Killibrew's book on diagnosing and repairing the clusters from him at his booth and mentioned that I had Gene do my repair and I got the impression that they had some bad experiences with Gene as they had nothing good to say about his repair business. Don't know the details but mine works fine now. These digital dash problems are so common that GM should have recalled the units and designed something a little more reliable.
