I just bought a set of SS brak lines from Corvette Central for my 87 and the rear lines seem too short. My car is on jack stands so the suspension is hanging a little but I also don't want to disconect my brake lines every time i jack up the rear end.
Who made the lines?? I have Earl's lines on my 87 and there is enough length for the suspension to hang free and still have some play in the brake line.
I had a set of Russell lines on my 92 and they were so short that I could clearly see the line tighten when the rear suspension was hanging free. IMHO, Russell is garbage and not worth the money.

I ordered them from Corvette Central, and in their catalog I didn't see any MFG, but I went out and looked at them and the tag says CSSBINC.com

I've also got Earl's on my '95. Good fit, no problems.
A quick check of the site suggests that the company deals
in parts for C1-C3 cars. I didn't see brake parts for C4s like
your '87.
Under no circumstances would I use lines that do not have
enough length to permit the suspension to travel thoughout
its full range of motion. If they don't fit, ask for an RMA and
send them back. If the company won't accept the return,
turn them into wall art or sell them and get the correct ones.
For an '89 you need to be sure to assemble the banjo fitting
in the correct orientation (not mentioned in the literature)
but when they are are properly, Earls lines will fit and have
sufficent slack. Goodridge also offers SS lines for the C4 and
are siad to be of excellent quality.
IIRC, the Goodridge product was DOT OK'd before the Earl's.
(I'm open to correction on the DOT OK'd part because I recall
something to the effect that DOT does not actually approve
parts. It is in the archives but I don't feel like looking this up.
Maybe Goodridge was just willing to say their stuff meets DOT
specs before Earl's was.)

Yeah I saw they only sold through 82, so I sent Corvette Central a nasty note asking why they would sell a product for 84-87 that won't fit and what they were going to do to correct my situation. So we'll see. I would never run this car the way it is now, that's susicide IMO.
hhhmmm Jeg's list the Earl's Hyperfirm Kit only for 93-96 Corvette, ThunderRacing (same price as 93-96 kit at Jeg's) for all C4's including 84-87, so I guess Thunderracing is the ticket!!
I just ordered these from Thunder Racing (they were about $2 less than Jegs) and they just sent me an email that they are back-ordered. The email said that they should ship within a week...

Great!! I knew that this weekend would get shot down to drive this car for the first time in nearly 5 years
