I am not a automatic transmission person,but I have rebuilt a few TH350 & TH400..My question I am rebuilding my trans, I would like to upgrade now,what parts should I replace besides paper and rubber. Any info would be helpful such as supplier, kit's or package's that some one has used and trans responds well with the combination. Thanking You in Advance Leo

Under 500 hp, regular paper clutches are fine. Throw a "beast" reaction shell init. Also, up the factory 28 element sprag to a new borg warner 29 element. Keep the 10 vane pump, but add a sonnax hi pressure spring. If the motor will see 6k or higher, transgo no yo yo kit will give you new springs for the piston returns. .500 boost valve, .283 lo rev valve and a pair of hardened pump rings cannot hurt. 3-4 clutch kit will vary depending on power output of the motor. Under 425 hp, alto 8 clutch kit works fine. Stick with the 4 pinion planetaries under 600hp. Be sure to add the #44 hole to the seperator plate if it is not there.
