Default Sway bar question????

I have an 86 vette with the Z-51 suspension and have a set of ZR-1 17x11's for the front end. They barely rub on the sway bar when turned to full lock. Is there any difference in width of sway bars for the 84-87 years versus the 88-96 years? The late model bars are shaped a little different and would give me the relief I need to keep from rubbing. I wanna know if the late model bars will bolt up to my car. Any info is much appreciated.

Short answer, no they wont fit. A while back a member had posted pics and there was quite a difference between the two sway bars.

Complete suspension redesign in 88, nothing from the front interchanges.
