fast idle
86-79K-4+3. When I start it cold it fires right up and idles up to around 1000. Staying at 1000 for about 30 seconds it goes down to 600 and back up again. It will do this up and down for about 2 min, than idle down to 600 and stay there. After warm-up, evertime I start it back up, it goes to 1000 and stays there for around 30 seconds, then goes back down to 600 and and runs fine. Whats up??? Dave

Are you getting any trouble codes? Could be a vacuum leak. If your EGR valve gets stuck open, it can cause this problem, too.
