85 Speed controll

85 Speed controll
Yesterday on my trip to the NCM my speed control started acting weird....
It is not holding a steady speed that I set. It is surging and then letting
off. But the speed I set is always solid on the speedometer.
Also it is speeding up on its own AND slowing down on its own. I had it set at
72 and at one time I felt it accelerate and I was doing 85!!!!. I went over a
rough stretch of 65 and it started to slow down, then it came back and
accelerated back to the 72 mph setting.
I re-seated the connector on the speed control (above the battery) then this
happened on the way home...
I was coming out of the 55 mph zone today and pushed the accelerate tab to take
it back up to my normal 72 mph cruise speed and nothing. It would not
accelerate.
Any ideas?
