Default Header Install - Touching Slave Cylinder

These headers are EM's off of an LT1.

They are touching the slave cylinder. They fit, but I'm not sure I like the idea of them touching, especially since I had to take the heat shield off in the first place.

Can I bend the collector down? Any other suggestions.

No, they don't.

My vote is that you won't get much movement, nowhere near
enough. Close proximity to the collector is a problem, touching it is a
show-stopper.

Short of an involved reworking, the best plan might be to locate pipes
that are a better fit for your configuration and offer those ones for
sale to someone who can use them.

Is there a part number on them? I wonder whether they are intended
for an A4 car?

If you are forced to make them work, whack a healthy dent in them to give as much clearance as possible. Then wrap the slave with thermo-tec.

Well, if it comes to that, remember to find something to fit inside the
end of the collector first so as to hold its shape and make it easier to
complete the rest of the exhaust.

Heating up the collector (off the car), ala the blacksmith's approach,
will make the job go easier and possibly make for a tidier 'mod'.
