Is there such thing as a noisy fuel injector? I have a ticking on the driver's side bank that if I hadn't checked the rocker arms six times I would describe as a light tapping against the valve cover. Could this type of noise be a loud injector or am I looking for a more internal problem?
i have the same probelm..mine will pickup with throttle but its not deep in the motor...i can feel mine if the AFPR check and see if you can feel yours tickin there.....then you will know if its injector pulse or not. ive been told not to worry about mine.
There is a little trick you might want to try. My dad taught me that you can get a stick (rake handle) or a short water hose and place it to your ear and the other end on where you think the noise is coming from. The noise will be louder where the problem is. They also sell a diagnostic stethoscope for this type thing.
I have blue SVO 24# injectors and they too are loud as hell.
I noticed that they were MUCH louder when I swapped from a "stock" TPI intake to the superram setup - the SR seems to really magnify the injector pulses.
The "stick" trick works really well, just watch out for moving parts!
yep same thing i have 24lbs and when i swaped from stock to edelbrock base it made it 5 times louder......im glad im not the only one...now i know nothin is wrong
