Default dual intake, what do you think???

check this out.
http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/97-00...1931QQtcZphoto

it is a dual drag. i asked the guy if it came with all the parts in the picture, and what size the tube was. the only response i got was that the tube was 31/2 inch.

it could slap on an 85 maf, maybe.

what do you think,

the filters must be crap. but put some oil on them and maybe they will be close. anyway, you could put some k&n wiggies on the the tubes and get happy..............

it looks good to get some flow beyond that dumbass flat push across the gap between the hood and the rad.

what do you think?????????????

yeah, it said c5, but the damn thing is a concept, and i figure i can squeeze it into my slot in front of the maf.

it can't be much worse than what we got stock on a c4. look at that crap flat crap that pushes into a cylinder.

if you don't like it, or if it don't fit, cut some off and have some heavy input that is probably hotter, but bigger. the piping is worth the cost of the product--modify it from there if you don't like what it is putting out.

i'm still thinking about it. it has to be a lot more intake pull than stock. the only thing i can think that would be better is the license plate ram-air input, but that thing costs $450. screw that.

my problem is that i haven't tested my 85 maf against the 31/2 stop.

if they do supply the turbo type joiner, then it would take care of some mismatch.

i'm not well enough to check it out. can you??

more opinions are appreciated.

i've got one of those smooth tube replacements for the corrugated stock intake crap. i can fudge somewhat on that piece.

this is one point where the map guys have an advantage over the maf boys. the maps can stick any old crap in front of the throttle body--we maf guys have to make it fit and make it flow sweetly in front of the t/b.

i'm gonna go out tomorrow and take some measurments. just remember if you don't like yours, you can cut the aluminum and at least shorten it to fit between the maf and the rad.

i may be tripping. but it could be a gooooooood trip. 31/2 sounds close to the stock maf to me.

don't kick me when i'm down.

be nice bitches................somebody help out a broke dick and measure the o/d of an 85 maf. it's gotta be the close to your year.

i may have discovered something big. or i maybe a complete dick.

the dog just took me outside, and i measured the o/d of my maf and it measured around 3 inches.

i'm gonna order this crap right now.

we'll see how it does. the polyvinyl junction should be able to squeeze the difference.

i don't have a huge crank (as far as you know) or a dino to tell you the difference. but if i like it, i'll start selling them here at a 25% markup. i've got to go with my race. screw the ar*bs.

wish me luck. if it doesn't work, you'll see it with an inflated price and performance listed on the for sale section.

cross your fingers and pray to jeebus. this could actually be a big deal for us folks looking for some serious intake beyond the silly c4 squeeze. i may just turn out to be a hero again.

yeah, right.....frog you don't get a medal without an officer as a witness.

interesting...

It would be nice to have it fit and be able to get the cooler outside air to it. Looks like it will still be pulling in the warm/hot under hood air.

Unfortunately it is for C5 Corvette "V8 models ONLY". Leaving the vast V6 conversion market untapped.

I'm not seeing how its going to work? I don't have a problem with the origianal air snorkel myself but if it works for you I'd be interested in a pic.

I dont think it would clear the hood/fan shroud area. C4 filters are flat as a pancake.
Of course if you cut the coupler down it might, but then you get hotter air.
