My oil, temp and pressure gauges run amok most of the time, and also a lot of little features like, headlights on alert bell, other similar 'coutesy' bells and whistles have quit working, not sure if this all began at once or sort of deteriorated to this state over time.
I've used the shop manual to do the error code check technique built into the car, shorting the ground to - can't remember but you get the error codes displayed on the dash, I see no error codes anywhere.
Horn failed as well and replacing the horn itself does not cure it.
Could this all be computer? The shop manual goes into so many details and alternates, I get lost in it, I'm no electrician.
Thanks in advance. Fyi, the car has 125K or so.

Sounds like it may be the plug at the back of the instrument panel upper right as you are looking at it,have to remove center consol to get at and the plug behind the A/C controls.
If the top of your dash pad is easy to remove like my 86 you can reach down inside and get to it that way.

To get at it you need to remove the carpet panel, the metal hush panel, drop the steering column, remove the bezel, that you can get at the 4 5/16 bolts that hold the instrument cluster.
With the 4 bolts removed the whole panel just plugs out. Try wiggleing the panel around to see if you can recreate the problem.
If this is not the problem then it is likely the CCM is going bad.
Most of the problems with the 92 dash is due to that plug behind it.
Thanks for the details and all the help in general, wow. I'll give it a go soon though I may replace the CCM first and see if these gauge problems and the others clear with it. A buddy is a vette dealer mechanic, I think he can get me one to try without buying it perhaps.
Again, thanks tons for the help! Hope I can contribute in the same way someday.
No, wouldn't buy a used car these days without plenty of research it was never in N.O. Also making sure to avoid termite laden mulch etc products from that area (but that's not a vette topic, spank me).
