Loose Spark Plug
I did right side first as it appeared the easiest (WRONG) Finally got to the left side and the very front plug was never tighten. Was about 4 full turns loose. Installed all the NGK's and went for a run. Very smooth, feels like new. And here I was thinken new Opti, pressure reg etc etc.
happy as a gal buying new shoes now. $17 fix can't beat that. Just a little more info for the memory banks if ya have a rough idle.
you might want to check it a few times to make sure it was just lose and not a stripped plug hole-theseare aluminum heads-here's a little secret-next time get a short length
of rubber gas hose, one that slips snuggly onto the plug (I use about 4-5 inches) and use it to get your plugs started and as snug as you can before putting a plug wrench to it-makes life easier and you won't need to worry about cross threading the plug hole.
Rick,,,don't say stripped plug hole. If I ever install a helicoil again it will be too soon. haha Thanks for the hose tip though, appreciate it. I like to use a cut off end from an old silicone calk tube and tap it into my deep well socket. Starting the plug with the socket and antiseize compound it gives more feel in tight places and once snug the tube end will slip loose. socket is already in place for torque wrench then. Ya might like to try that also.
